API3, a provider of decentralized APIs (dAPIs), has announced integration with Moonbeam, the project that simplifies the process for Ethereum applications to expand into the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem, making APIs effortlessly available to multi-chain applications.
The Moonbeam platform delivers a complete implementation of Ethereum on Substrate and enables Ethereum developers to set up present smart contracts and dApp frontends into Moonbeam with nominal changes. Moonbeam gains from lower gas costs compared to Ethereum, and also the cross-chain performance of Polkadot.
Section of API3’s eyesight is allowing developers to create dApps that mimic the rich purpose of Web 2.0 apps. The majority of apps that people use only exist due to their ability access to a massive range of APIs. Offering tools other than price data is essential to allowing this on Web 3.0, as part of their integration, API3 will be able to offer dApp developers on Moonbeam access to the complete library of Airnode-enabled APIs.
We’re thrilled to bring the API3 ecosystem to apps running on Moonbeam.“
This integration also represents the first step on the path to deploying dAPIs (data feeds) into Moonbeam, to create dApps with truly quantifiably bonded, DAO-aggregated data. Simplifying the developer experience, Moonbeam combines complete Ethereum compatibility with the ability of Polkadot, including scalability, cross-chain integrations, and on-chain governance.
